Failure after one year! Follow a star! Purchased this unit for our bedroom window cursor. excellent value, easy installation cools much. much better than a laptop. So if you have a slider or wings and do not consider a laptop! they just do not too cool. the only critic here if your windows more than 40 inches in size, you must use something to "plug" the remaining space. our window is 44 "so I had to cut a piece of plywood to close the gap. not a big deal that the window is at the back of the house on the side, and we have mini-blinds and curtains, so you do not see plywood in the room. the camera is quite the window without air and I looked out the window provided "cap" on the plywood and then the canned foam sealant to fill gaps invisible from the outside.
