Bionaire BW2300 Twin Window Fan with Remote Control
With a remote control for convenient adjustment, this double window fan draws in fresh, cool air from the outside or exhausts stale, hot air from inside. It can also do both simultaneously, because each of the two fans can be set independently to draw in or exhaust out, allowing the unit to exchange inside and outside air. Operable either manually or automatically-with its thermostat turning the fans off and on to maintain a selected temperature-the unit has three speeds, electronic controls, and an LCD screen showing the selected temperature and the room temperature. The remote control (two AAA batteries are included) alters speed, manual/automatic operation, air-flow direction, and temperature.

The twin fan is designed to fit double-hung, vertical-slider, and casement windows. A built-in 7-inch extender and two 3-inch extenders permit custom fitting for windows from 24 to 37 inches wide. Because the unit is lightweight plastic it can be moved easily from room to room. The fans have six blades and measure 8-1/2 inches in diameter. Overall, the unit is 13 inches high, arrives fully assembled, and carries a five-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

I read the reviews and was worried about the temperature gauge does not work but for the price I gave it a shot anyway. I asked the man selling the rate of return for the product and told me that no one had been returned (I did not really believe it, but went ahead with the purchase anyway). I actually plugged in and the temperature started to rise, increased HI and remained there. In addition to the fan it was great. Quiet, secure, remote worked fine. I went back to the store and saw the display model was doing the same thing. I could not believe that the project of the group so that the circuits heat up the thermometer. I thought that some poor children in the factory, had lost a step in the assembly process. Last night, I took it apart and found the wireless thermometer. It was on the whole board Everything I did was to wire thermometer to abandon the board and when I put back together and plugged it in, it worked as it should have in the first place. Took less than 20 minutes to fix it. Bionaire Quality really slipped on this one. 5 stars for a good product, minus one for the inconvenience. To deal with this is how I did it, but if you break up I take no responsibility. The instructions state "Do not repair or modify electrical or mechanical functions of the device. To do this will void the warranty." UN PLUG fan. Tighten all screws on the back (seven in total I think). Use a screwdriver to remove it from the side that is not the extender built. I could not figure out how to open it completely, but was able to open about 35 degrees, like a mussel, and remove the plastic cover that protects the circuit. The thermometer is the white plastic wire is only connected to the PCB on one side and not the round metal thing with a hole in the middle that is the interlocutor, extended the lead from the thermometer on the side away from the circuit and put it back. 104 of 104 people found the following review helpful. Triple Comparison Review - Bionaire BW2300 - HAWF2043 Holmes - Honeywell HW-628 by Robert C. gamble today. This review is a direct comparison between the three most popular currently available dual window fans, Bionaire BW2300 Twin Window Fan with Remote Control Twin Window Fan Holmes HAWF2043 Honeywell HW-628 Twin Fan Enviracaire window If you are interested in purchasing one of those fans widow read more ... I do not have to make this comment because I do not plan to buy more than one of those fans. I can already say that all these fans are designed and built super cheap, and none of these fans are perfect, but some are worse than others HAWF2043 Holmes Twin Window Fan: my rating - 3 out of 5 stars Holmes bought the unit HAWF2043 . It was light and adapt well to the window while I had problems with the extension that is on the right. Locks for the Extender are on the right side along the upper and lower fan, which is sovereign stupid, because if you put the fan in your window frame and put weight on it, locks up and you can not move the wand is. I mean, the great scholar of this idea? So you have to unlock the locks before you lose the device in the window and weight, the lock down until you set the extension to where you want already. It is not easy. And locking mechanisms can be difficult to move. At that time, I could not imagine anything worse, but I was wrong, as they are with the extensors of the Honeywell unit that I go to the next paragraph Holmes This unit has the best placement of the power cord is at the bottom left corner. .. the location is high enough not to.
