A good window fan is a real blessing to a fan person, and doubly so if that fan can be set to blow in two directions. Double the benefits yet again if that window fan has two fan blades, each of which can be set either in or out. The Holmes HAWF3095 window fan has those quadrupled benefits, and then some. There are two 3-speed fans in the unit, each of which can be set for air intake or exhaust, or for air exchange, when one blows in and one out. In addition, there's a programmable digital thermostat and timer, so the fan can shut off automatically when nights get too chilly. And of course there is a simple on/off mode, especially good with the air exchange configuration. Air direction is set by using the sliding switches located above each fan blade. The mode button is used to turn the fan on and control the speed. The mode button also cycles through three automatic thermostat settings: Auto High, Medium, and Low. There are two additional temperature adjustment buttons to fine-tune the thermostat to a personal comfort level. In addition, a timer setting allows the fan to be programmed to turn on and off at one-hour increments over a period of as long as 16 hours. The HAWF3095 fits most windows, whether it be a casement, slider, or double-hung style. The fan can function either horizontally or vertically, and there are two 3-inch extenders that can slide on at either or both ends to help tailor the fan to most any window. Always unplug fan before cleaning. Use a soft cloth moistened with a mild, nonabrasive soap solution. Do not use gasoline, paint thinner, or benzene as a cleaning solution; also do not allow water to drip on or enter fan housing. The Holmes HAWF3095 window fan measures 25 by 13 by 5-1/2 inches. Living with Easy Buy this fan if you want something discreet, easy to fit into a window, and when "ACU-Temp" feature that you want. If you live in a climate where you sometimes want a bit more cooling, but do not really need the AC, its ideals, especially when space is limited. It gives a good solid win and quietly. It's still a fan, of course, will not say who remain silent. Another reviewer complained about airflow, and I will not tell her a huge explosion that you get a big fan of ... but ... it's not a big fan, it is. High on this fan is more like medium in a large heavy-fan I like a cool bedroom and that fan has a lot of air for me. In fact, only I have 3 (high) to cool the room down first, and then with 1 or 2 sleep (low, medium) except on the hottest days. We may have another honkin 'big fan we move where we need them for the rest of the house. We love this peaceful milder fan in our bedroom, we replaced our old "Cool Breeze" window fan with this, and the first site I was excited at how much easier it is safe to install in the window. It is a very good design. If you choose to use them, the screens on the sides, allowing the fan to fit over the entire width of the window. It was a unweildy job when I installed the old fan, but this lasted only one minute to get in and I swear not at all. The fan is nice and stylish, so it easily fits into the window without the display. Using "Acutemp" thermostat, you do not stand up and turn off the fan and / or get a blanket in the middle of the night (the old one was so loud it kept me up so I was awake anyway). Choose your level of airflow and temperature at which you want to turn off the fan, then go to bed when it's still hot and you want a fan, but then cools down to the end (at least here in the Northwest Pacific ago, thanks to goddess) and the fan turns in the same way, you can set to switch on when a certain temperature in the room. Of course you can also just turn the fan on low or high-MED (1, 2, or 3) without automatically. The only thing that was not evident when I ordered it, is that the darker part of the control panel that appears gray in the picture is actually a gray-green olive oil. SNAP installation, CHECK NICE, a little 'undersized With Holmes mhill This fan is great for pulling in fresh air when outside air is more comfortable inside. It is not very powerful high setting could in the medium or even low on the other fans that I used. But considering the most important point to keep a window fan, is the exchange of air and you do not break with a massive blow. However, if you need to cool a large surface area, Holmes fan can be too small. There should be adequate, a standard room. And it is relatively quiet. I like the LED lamp stays on, even though the fan is turned off. It seems just by comparison with some other thermometers I have. It's really easy to install. I use a large window with 32 "but it was not difficult to include the extension panel. You will not see the screen. I would not remove with a window fan with AC. / This will increase the cost and convenience use. Even they do not, if it is less comfortable inside and out, as one reviewer has done. By Morganism I live in SF, so it's rarley HOT as it was in Flanders, so my demands are not as high as the others can be. But to my room fresh and cool, it's great! The best feature is that you can have both fans running in different directions. One and one.
