Due to the 3-dimensional, weaving structure of the Cooling Pad, SF-611 allows longer contact between air and water. Unlike other units on the market, where air only passes through a flat, 2-Dimensional cloth. The unit works well in dry climates; not very effective in areas with high humidity as the unit utilizes water to cool.

Even with low humidity of New Mexico to cool the unit every room, but close to the unit, blows you facilitation of 3-4 degrees (marked with a good thermometer), plus the benefits of air, the lateral movement. Bells and whistles ("natural" and "sleep" mode) are crap, and the unit is quite loud on the lowest speed (unbearably so with high speeds). Decent, but not a substitute for air conditioning in general helpdeskdan I am satisfied with my air cooler, but only under the conditions that I use. Let me be clear, this is a perfect complement to an air conditioner. My bedroom is not cool, no matter what temperature you set the air conditioner air cooler does a nice job of cooling it down to 5 degrees (with cold tap water). Not to mention the advantage of moisture. I can add ice, which would be of great help, but it would have meant more work and my fridge out more hot air. (Physics of Simple -.. hot shame that there is a fridge on the outside) If you add ice, and was out of your refrigerator, it might be a substitute for an air conditioner to a room, but I have not tried. You should buy this product to your room if: * You have an air conditioner * * Your home is very dry you like / miss the humidity (good for sinuses) * You do not want to put a balm to air the window, or the second air conditioner in your window. (Big plus if you rent) * Want to save electricity (air conditioner use less) * It has a remote control and a timer, which is nice. It also has different speeds, which is nice, and includes some other useless buttons Note: * It will not work when the humidity rises. It helps to have a humidistat. For this reason I use it only at night. Of course, if you own an air conditioner, it will take out the humidity and you can use the air cooler again. * Water should be changed daily, preferably just before use. (The colder water better =) * Even if you change the water every day, the PAN must be cleaned at least once a month. * My started making a rattling upsetting for the first few minutes. Worse cool ... it really warms up the atmosphere ..... A. We just bought this Hwu yesterday and it was 98 degrees in San Jose, California. Our room was very small, so I thought maybe a swamp cooler will help, but no, that room even hotter (I know there is an AC, but an ordinary fan is better than this piece I can not ****..) tell the difference between "cool" mode and "hell" mode.
