This unit is great - cool, dehumidify, but mostly it's very quiet. There are only a small change in the decibel level when the compressor against, if he is not running. If you sleep in a window air conditioner to get it. I've tried several different brands and have been disappointed by most. It reminds me of my old Panasonic unit - quiet. 12 of 12 people found this review helpful. Should be better by the Duke bought this A / C on the recommendation of the report consumption. The device is ok, easy to perform and cools very quickly, but --- not as quiet as I would have liked. The assembly is terrible, Manuel poorly written and lacks a lot of information. The device is designed to be mounted in a wooden window frame, but take eight screws in your woodworking. I do not need to do this because I have a vinyl window, I installed it, but I had the rubber shims between the frame and he hit the window for noise, vibration and side curtains to reduce its highly vulnerable to use. The glove was deemed 13-5/8 H, and my window open until 15 in H, but the device hard to match. I would return the unit, but once the shipping was about $ 35 when I bought it and another $ 35. to return and probably a restocking fee decided to keep it. It's just good. Not as good as I expected. It is good to buy online, but I recommend something so nice to go somewhere to physically see and what you get to know you. I would recommend to a friend? NO Days Later The unit is still very noisy. As Warren grid vibrates. Solution, remove it as I did. The only thing that makes this phone a lot, sometimes the fan speed is low. The Compress even comes with a thud. Next season I will try to fit it better and hope some of the vibration and noise, if you eliminate vinyl windows, do not buy this unit, 11 of 11 people found the following review helpful. Good ideas, poor execution by the blind girl I bought this thing because my old bedroom with air conditioning, aka "The Bazooka", if enabled in the middle of the night, afraid of my bejezuz half asleep mind. (And dogs). (And fish). That this thing deserves every one of the stars, because it does not scare me awake. It's actually pretty quiet. Not silent, but when it comes to the lowest fan setting - it's definitely bearable. Beware, however, makes it easy swishing sound of water as the manufacturer says is normal. It was an absolute nightmare to install (and I consider myself talented in the art of things together). It would be really good about the people of Frederick wrote in big letters somewhere that does not try to install in warm temperatures. Gee, I wonder who would buy and install an air conditioner in cold weather, but maybe that's just me, the problem is the air conditioning must come first, except it's metal "cabinet" with the shell to be installed in the window. But air conditioning is the "inside" is made of a metal other than the "cabinet" and so when it's warm enough inside the metal expands at a faster rate and is virtually "connected" with metal cabinets. This, ladies and gentlemen, I realized after huffing and puffing on this monster for 3 hours at 94 degrees weather. Finally the light bulb: I reinstalled the Bazooka, the air is cooled to 83 degrees, and the pen slipped like butter. 2 weeks of use update: "Saving money" proved very useful way - it makes the air conditioner on and off to maintain the desired temperature, while saving me a lot of money. "TIMER" mode is bad, as it continues to raise the temperature at which, without it you want it. Overall - not sorry I bought it (when I had time to install and forget the horrible experience) all 8 customer reviews ....
